Planes, Trains, and Automobiles-5.8/10

R- Do not be decieved, it's a mostly clean movie, save for an angry Steve Martin scene, where F bombs are dropping like flies.

Released in 1987, this isn't really particularly my kind of comedy, but it was on so, alright. And it has Steve Martin, he's usually pretty funny. Co-starring is John Candy. So this business guy (Steve Martin) is goin home to his family for Thanksgiving. He's trying to get a taxi (he's in Chicago) and this fat guy (John Candy) steals his taxi. The rest of the movie is just Martin trying to get home, while constantly running into the annoying and overly talkative fat guy. It has it's moments, and there's a few cool cameos. At any rate, Steve Martin fans should enjoy it. Family Guy fans may catch a quote from this movie in the episode 'Baby not on Board' during Peter's "I'm an easy target, sure I talk too much, I also listen to much" speech and in the episode 'Road to Rupert' the scene where Brian and Stewie are crashing in the helicopter is from this movie. Funny stuff.

  1. Nice I remember both those episodes. Ha. Not much of a Martin fan though. Sounds interesting, exept for the low score...
