The Bourne Trilogy-9.3/10

PG13-F bomb dropped once or twice, bloody violence-not overdone

I have spent the last couple of days watching these movies(The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum). And I was pleasantly surprised! Let's start with The Bourne Identity, released in 2002:
Like all the Bourne movies, Matt Damon is the star, he is a man suffering amnesia with two bullets in his back, I'm not one to give the whole plot away, and so that is all I will say about that. It is a well put together story, fight and chase scenes are mostly quite nice. Although the sound seems a bit like a guy just punching a slab of meat for some of the punches thrown. Next, The Bourne Supremacy, released in 2004:
This, obviously, is a sequel to Identity, and after Matt Damon's character becomes... disturbed,he returns into action to see what is going on. There is quite a few actors in this movie I recognized from many other movies, making this a cool movie, at least for me, to see them in. A good movie, but keep in mind, if you didn't like Bourne Identity, what's the logic in you watching the sequel? Next The bourne Ultimatum, released in 2007:
Wrapping up the Bourne movies, this one did not dissapoint! Matt Damon plays a very convincing role, and the others act well. This was a very nicely made movie and sufficiently finished off where Supremacy left off. So here's my advice, if you like movies such as The Transporter, Max Payne, Minority Report, or the storyline with Wolverine's amnesia in the first three X-Men movies, you should like these movies.

Update: A new Bourne Movie is in production.

  1. Good amount of action, ok premise, and a few wicked twists. I liked the bunch of them.
